3. Regent
Students at Delegate Welch’s Rack’em and Crack’em
Delegate Welch held his
Rack’em and Crack’em fundraiser this past Saturday. The event was a
great success. On hand were former Senator George Allen, Congresswoman
Thelma Drake, Virginia Attorney General Bob McDonnell, and numerous
other great conservatives. There was live entertainment, great food,
and a number of Regent alumni and students.
Special thanks goes out to a
group of Regent students who helped staff the event. Teresa Gladney,
Sharron Stoddard, Chuck Slemp, Gary Altman, Shane Fuson, and Stephen
Raper all helped out the Welch campaign by donating their Saturday
free-time to work the event.

Sal’s Summer Bash
The Friends of Sal Iaquinto will be
holding Sal’s Summer Bash on July 12, 2007 at Waterman’s Beachwood

Beach, Virginia.

5. Launch of HR Conservative
Central
A new blog has been created to meet the
needs of conservatives in the Hampton Roads area. This would include
portions (if not all) of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd,
and 4th congressional districts.
www.hrconservativecentral.blogspot.com will be launching in the near
future.
The purpose of this blog is twofold. It
will allow conservatives to get out their message to the pubic. It will
also serve as a central location for a variety of conservative
viewpoints.
Individuals will be able to share their
views on issues at a central location. The more individuals who
contribute to the blog, the bigger the site will get. I am also open to
having guest posts from electeds and party leaders from time to time
(These individuals are also more than welcome to have their own ability
to post). Some may want to participate to raise awareness on a
particular issue, while others will speak to a variety of topics at a
variety of times. There is no need that everyone be in agreement.
Civil discourse is the bedrock of our nation. This site is meant to
encourage that. One of the main advantages of many contributors is that
no one person carries the brunt of the load of posting, yet the site
stays relevant.
Interest has been shown by several
individual and groups so far. If you would like to be able for your
group or club to have posting ability to this site or if you would like
to be able to post, please email me and I will get you set up. It is
quite simple.
The site is
www.hrconservativecentral.blogspot.com. If you would like to
contribute please email me at
hrconservativecentral@gmail.com. Also pass this on to others who
you know would be interested.
Thanks.
God bless,
Matthew R. Clark
